Election, Votes and Disbelief
انتخابات آمریکا، آراء و ناباوری
Today following the third Super Tuesday of US primary elections, New York Times published an article saying Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump have won the votes but not the hearts of American people (1).
The article sees the problem as related to the records of these two individuals who are leading the two parties in the polls. But the reality of disbelief that is described has little to do with these individuals and has more to do with the solutions offered for US economy (2).
Although people are voting but are ambivalent and not convinced that the solution offered by their own chosen candidate will solve the problem. That is why they do not have their heart with whoever they are voting for.
Ever since the rise of new economy following the computer revolution of early 1980's (3), the results for society has been a love and hate as far as jobs and economic well-being are concerned and it seems like old ways of solving the problem are not effective and new approaches need to be sought (4).
