In the last half century, in addition to violations of
human rights in China and Russia, civilization has been challenged
by the Islamists at a global scale who want to return our lives back
to 1400 years ago and a noteworthy example of this sad truth is the Islamic Regime of
Iran (IRI).
IRI has not instituted compulsory hijab because of being
against women,
the women are oppressed in Iran because IRI wants them to comply to
Shari'a law of 1400 years ago. This is why
US global strategy of
supporting human rights which was effective during the Cold War era,
does not work anymore.
It has been long overdue to officially announce a US global strategy
to support *SecularDemocracy*. If in 1775, *secular
democracy* became the basis for the United States to be founded on, it is
now the basis to build a fair-minded global community for the 21st Century.
Hoping for a democratic and secular futurist republic in Iran,
