Sorry to repeat this discussion. Why is it important that opposition's message
to Saudi Arabia to be that we are against their attack on Iran and that we are
not and will not be their fifth column? Because of the clear reason that when
the opposition gives a double-sided message to Saudi, they will become more
steadfast for a military attack on Iran, the same thing that happened with
regards to Saddam Hussein.
It seems like Saudi Arabia is taking on the main role to confront Iran's domination over the Middle East and even Israel, at least at this time, is playing a secondary role in this regard (1).
Iran's opposition had the same experience 35 years
ago at the time of Iraq's invasion of Iran. At the time, Iraq also wanted to
take advantage of our activities and anybody in the opposition who talked about
the danger of Iraq's attack on Iran, was bedeviled as if s/he wants to support
the Islamic Republic of Iran. A few opposition forces abroad at first issued
double-sided messages to Iraq, but regretted it later when Iraq's invasion
materialized, and even denied their contact with Saddam which remained like a
shameful stain for them in history.
Dear Friends, our opposition to Islamic Republic is an internal matter and military attack on Iran is not to our benefit. We should say this clearly to Saudi Arabia and others. Once, the experience of dealings with Iraq destroyed Iran's opposition, let's not make the same mistake again.
