IRI's Secretary of State Mohammad Javad
Zarif who was sanctioned by
Trump
administration on June 24, 2019 and was yet allowed to travel to the
US in July 2019, was officially sanctioned by the United States
yesterday. This author has discussed
Mr. Zarif in the
past, and will
simply ignore discussing all these announcements.
IRI does not have
much time to make a deal with President Donald Trump. If President
Trump wins the 2020 US presidential election, no need for any
reelection translates to no need to make a deal with IRI and can do
whatever he desires at a whim, surely within the US law. If President Trump is not elected,
the next Democratic Party president will have a harder time to make
any deal with IRI because of all that has been revealed in the last
3 years about US-IRI Deal of Obama and
John Kerry. All assurances of
Mr. Bernie Sanders at an event sponsored by
NIAC last week
are empty promises. Reinstating Obama's Iran Deal will
never happen, but
cooperating with NIAC is only hurting Mr. Bernie Sanders' image in
the eyes of some of his supporters such as myself.
