For the last 40 years I spent all my energy on the next phase of Iran's development. I am sorry to write this note but the danger of restoration of dictatorial and criminal Pahlavi monarchy by foreign forces is too high today and I have come to the conclusion not to support revolutionary change at this juncture. We hurried into a revolution in 1979 when it was obvious that Khomeini would win power in Iran; we should not make the same mistake again. Fifteen years ago I noted this danger in my book Futurist Iran (1) and hoped to overcome it by now, but we have not and I will not be part of another retrogression.
