Some Obama Backers Supporting Trump
درباره برخی حامیان اوباما که از ترامپ حمایت می کنند
Washington Post today has published an interesting
article by Marc Fisher about US Presidential Election of 2016 entitled "In
Trump, some Obama backers see a new champion of hope and change" (1).
The article reports that some of the past Obama backers are disappointed with him for basically achieving some goals of the Democratic Party platform while they expected him to make Earth-shaking changes. Perhaps they are having the wrong expectations again hoping Trump to make the Earth move while he may also at best do what the Republican Party platform is about, and in fact, Trump, in the first major decision as a politician, chose Mike Pense as a VP, someone who is the embodiment of the Republican Party platform and not much different from Paul Ryan.
Hilary Clinton, in contrast to the Obama of 2008 or Trump of 2016 is not promising her electorate any sweeping changes, but it is a certainty that under her leadership, at least one would not lose some of the things we already have, such as Medicare, whereas with Donald Trump, Mike Pense or Paul Ryan as president, one cannot be so sure (2).
