Dear Friends,
For years I have emailed my articles to my friends at Voice of America whether before the time I worked there, or when I worked there and also afterwards. The practices of VOA Persian Service's new management of the last three years has changed the journalistic atmosphere of that organization to a security and police type environment, and it has all been extensively discussed (1).
Today I was informed that VOA Persian Service has reported to Google that my emails to their domain are spams and they have asked Google to stop and bounce any emails I send to "voanews.com" domain. It is noteworthy that VOA itself has been sending emails to opt-out lists for years. The latest action of VOA Persian Service's new management is the peak of their Stalinist Internet censorship. This management has no right to head the efforts of United States for improving human rights in Iran, since they themselves, more than any fascist organization, exert censorship and Internet blocking towards their own employees.
It is time that we the Iranian people announce that the management of VOA Persian Service must immediately change. It is also necessary that we contact all Internet organizations like ICANN, Google, Yahoo, MSN, Facebook, and Twitter and inform them that VOA Persian Service itself is a leader in Internet censorship and Internet blocking towards its own users.
It has been thirty six years that Iranian people
have been fighting totalitarianism and this group of VOA managers who pretend as
if they do not know about me, yet in secret give specifically my name to be
censored by Google. If they had the political power, just like Hitler and Stalin
would issue a death sentence by firing squad for me. These people want to teach
others about dialogue with opponents. Shame on these liars who pretend to be
proponents of human rights. They are not afraid of me, they are afraid of the
truth, the same way all fascists want to silence those who tell the truth.
Hoping for a democratic and secular futurist
republic in
Iran,
