It is so unfortunate that Elon Musk is no longer at DOGE but surely for years to come he will be appreciated a lot more. Today I ran into something so trivial which upset my whole life and I thought of DOGE and Elon Musk's foresight and how much stupidity in government rules trickles down and we all suffer. There is apparently a government rule that says: "The Utility closet doors will remain locked at all times unless being actively used by maintenance or other contractors. That is not up for negotiation or resident input." I had asked my apartment management to leave this door of my apartment open because I have more knowledge of all those equipment than any of their staff and they found my statement to be condesending which I can understand and I apologized for not being sensitive. Anyways, they pulled this government rule and I had to shut up. Then the next day a pest control contractor showed up and I asked the guy to spray the utility room. The man tried to open the door and it did not open. Then he asked for a maintenance man and the staff key did not work, so he called the maintenance manager. The maintenance manager brought a key chain of maybe hundreds of keys and was not able to open the door. I got upset at him and said if this was an emergency fire this whole apartment would have burnt down to pieces and I apologized for getting upset at him as I know he is a nice guy but the pest control contractor who was mad for wasting so much of his time reported me to the apartment management and they sent me a notice that it is government rule to have the door locked and they will do their best to open the door in appropriate time forgetting that in an emergency fire all this would have been useless and the whole place would have been burnt to pieces and they just repeated that I have violated other rules by being angry and their last word to me was to vacate and you can imagine the rest of the ordeal as it unfolds and this is in the middle of me dealing with all other things I am dealing with as my readers know well! BTW the management of my apartment does not remember that when I moved in here 4 years ago, the ceiling of my first apartment leaked for 3 years every time it rained till I was moved and I suffered the whole time but I was level-headed enough not sued them for damages I had even though I fell on the parking lot 3 times too because of bad pavement which still is not fixed and I had to pay a lot in insurance copays of doctor visits and MRI and still go to physiotherapy because of this condition and have all these expenses. At any rates, I mean the government really does not know how its rules trickle down in the today's world affecting the lives of every single one of us as some of those rules are interesting in the ways they are handled in a world sometimes centuries after those rules were made and by those or by systems that did not even exist when the rules were made! This is like the rules of the Islamic Republic of Iran that were made more than 1400 hundred years ago and have been pushed down the throat of me and all Iranians for 46 years and now actually the rest of the world have more sympathy with what we suffered for 46 years and I hope my apartment management can get a drift of this too! Ahhhh...!
