Yemen, the Ghetto of Persian Gulf

A devastating war is now brewing up between President Donald Trump and Yemen, because four months ago when I called for Iran to make peace with Israel, peace did not happen and that war is now extending to Yemen just as it extended to Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq before that! Yemen is another poor country in the Middle East worse than Afghanistan. Shah of Iran was always careful to help Afghanistan financially whereas in contrast, the Saudis and Persian Gulf rich states, the best they did for Yemen was supporting one corrupt elite after another and the likes of Saleh who only enriched a very small elite in that country when the rest of people of Yemen lived in grave poverty! This is why there was a war in the South of Yemen for a long time by a separatist group in Dhofar during Shah's regime and the Shah of Iran even sent Iranian Imperial army troops to suppress that separatist movement and at the same time the Communist China and Iranian leftists supported that separatist movement for years! Later with the rise of Islamist movement in the world, in North of Yemen, we have had Al Qaedeh, Daesh and later these Houthis take turn taking control of parts of Yemen. Saudis and rich Sheikdoms of the Persian Gulf should have shared a at least a small part of their income with this poor neighbor of their region to prevent this helpless fate of that country and all wars in that region will not solve the problem! In fact, the Islamism in Iran hardly has any power in Yemen! The Yemen's branch of Islam is what is called Khavarej as those who betrayed Imam Ali in the War of Saffein when Shiites were defeated at the time of Imam Ali which ended up in the rule of Sunnis over Shiites for centuries during Omavids and Abbasids! The problem of Yemen is not any religious affiliation with Islamism in Iran and it is a social problem that Saudis and the Sheikdoms of the Persian Gulf could have solved by spending some money to fix this ghetto and maybe a Riviera which President Trump likes to build in the Middle East could be built on the shores of Eden with Saudi and the Persian Gulf states investment:) More wars is not an answer! And the war with Islamic Republic of Iran should also be stopped by active negotiations between the U.S. and Iran with the help of United Nations as I discussed yesterday!  Again as I have noted before, I am non-partisan in US politics and all I am writing is my personal opinion and in my last lecture less than 4 months ago which was at Mehestan I clearly called for Iran to make peace with Israel and I have nothing more to say than what I said in that speech!
