Mihanbaan Reza Pahlavi * and Ms. Maryam Rajavi, Until the main parts of the Iranian opposition support the abolition of the death penalty in the future regime, the chances of achieving the abolition of the death penalty in Iran are very low, and the struggle to achieve this important goal will be more difficult. I wanted to suggest to both of you to clearly support the abolition of the death penalty in your desired future regime in Iran without any buts or ifs. If you call for abolition of death penalty but if the regime continues the death penalty, I will also announce that if Islamic Regime executes someone again on false charges of killing any Basiji in Iran, the opposition forces also have the right to defend themselves against the judge of the case by retaliating in a similar fashion; The cycle of execution and terror in Iran must be ended forever in any regime, and we all must promise to stop the death penalty forever in our desired regime, and even though, we support the right of direct and indirect legitimate defense against criminals anywhere but we prefer justice to be served by fair courts and agents of democratic governments elected by the people in the society and not through selfdefense! Yet sometimes reactionary laws, regressive judiciary and some unbridled savage judges leave no other option for the people of a country but to stand up for their rights by selfdefense, which I hope we will not face such a fate either in the current Islamic regime or in the future regime of Iran! I hope that the Islamic regime will stop this cycle of executions as soon as possible and that things will not get worse than they are, and I hope that you two well-known figures of the opposition will also cooperate with the opposition that has been fighting for the abolition of executions in Iran for years. In relation to what I have written in this note, like all my other contents, I have not consulted any person, organization or government, and as always, this article is only the personal opinion of this writer, and this author is soley responsible for the content of this article!
