Four years ago around this time of the year, Hojatoleslam Hassan Rouhani was preparing for his second term election scheduled for March 2017. Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi, the son-in-law of Ayatollah Ahmad Alamolhoda, who was a Hojatoleslam at the time, was planning to run for that election to become Iran's president as a step in becoming Iran's future VF! He was defeated in March 2017 election due to the cooperation of Islamic Reformists and Ayatollah Sadegh Larijani who headed IRI's Judicial branch at the time and was a VF hopeful! Mr. Ebrahim Raisi and Ayatollah Alamolhoda did not back off and 8 months later, i.e. three years ago, following President Trump's new sanctions, they organized a demonstration against Rouhani's government in Mashhad, in December 2017, and their slogans were in support of return of Reza Shah to scare off the clergy of how things were moving in Iran by Rouhani's government. Secular democratic opposition used the opportunity and organized mass demonstrations in 125 cities, which was unprecedented since the time of Iran's Constitutional Revolution of 1905 to have simultaneous demonstrations in that many cities in Iran. This event is called 'khizesh96' where the slogans were in rejection of both Islamic fundamentalists and the Islamic Reformists and this is how Iran's 21st Century Revolution started by clearly calling for Regime Change from a Theocracy to a Secular Democratic alternative. Following this turn of events, Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran's VF, agreed to give a promotion to Hojatoleslam Ebrahim Raisi and he became Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi and was also appointed as Iran's head of Judiciary replacing Ayatollah Sadegh Larijani. On the streets, the December 2017 demonstrations were followed by more waves of demonstrations and worker and truck driver strikes when in summer of 2018 clearly the demonstrators called for 'dissolution of IRI' in their slogans and the late Navid Afkari was arrested at that time and executed just three months ago. And last year, in November 2019, a second major uprising called 'khizesh98' happened in Iran and heroes like Pouya Bakhtiari gave their lives on the streets of 130 cities. Iran's 21st Century Revolution calls for the ending of Islamic regime in Iran and wants to start a secular democratic regime which is the international norm of governance in our times and is only challenged by the IslamicKKK in the world.
Hoping for a democratic and secular futurist republic in Iran,
