Sam Ghandchiسام قندچي After 45 Years: Kun-Faya-Kun or Regime Change to a Secular Democratic State
Sam Ghandchi

بعد از 45 سال: کن فیکون یا تغییر رژیم به حکومتی سکولار دموکرات

This author many years ago has discussed enough in the 'Futuristic Iran Book' about Iran's 1979 revolution, and there is no need to repeat those discussions on this 45th anniversary of that reactionary revolution! The discussion of 'kun-faya-kun' or 'regime change to a futurist, democratic, and secular government in Iran' has existed among all the Iranian opposition factions, both before and after the 1979 revolution; But, in the last 45 years, after the 1979 revolution, what was actually implemented was the first, that is, 'kun-faya-kun,' and not the second, which unfortunately political Islam and majority of political Islamists and also the communists of Iran became its flag bearers! The reactionary reformism that started during Hashemi Rafsanjani's government in Iran started with fake claims such as 'the reformists' lack of interest in power' and such pseudo-claims still continue to this day, while the reformists contrary to their denials, when they entered politics, they were right to set their goal to gain power, as in every election every 4 years in this United States of America, each party fights to overthrow the rival party from power, and to gain power, and it is enough to take a look at the current election in this United States of America today after 250 years of democracy, which clearly demonstrats this truth about democraciesAnd not only in democracies, the legitimacy of the struggle to gain power has been accepted, but they have given it formality. And the effort to do this in a peaceful and non-violent manner has been institutionalized, and elections are held every few years, and holding elections in democratic countries, contrary to what the non-democratic forces think, is not to deceive the people, nor is it a trivial matter. Rather, it has been and is the most important decision-making lever in modern society and secular democracies, and it is not without reason that in democratic societies, free press is called the fourth pillar of democracy, because without them real elections are meaningless!  I hope that in Iran as well, my dear friend Mr. Hossein Ronaghi the Nelson Mandela of Iran will be able to implement what is secular and forward-looking democracy in today's political scene in Iran, with the formation of a free press, with the support of all political factions, opposition and position! And if instead of the 21c Iranian Revolution, the people of Iran choose reformism, it be progressive reformism, not reactionary reformism, so that we don't continue with a fall like what Iran and Iranians have witnessed in the last 45 years, the end of which will be war and destruction for Iran, the region and the whole world! I remind you again that the option of the 21c Iranian revolution will not necessarily be coercive and will depend on the choices of the position and the opposition so that the continuation of the peaceful path can be successful for Iran and Iranians!

Hoping for a democratic and secular futurist republic in Iran,
