This article is not about what I like or want in the Nov 2020 US Presidential Election, which I have discussed many times and even yesterday. This is about what I think Democrats in the United States want in this election. They do not want President Trump to be re-elected which is obvious. But they also do not want the leftist candidates Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren either. We recently saw the drop of support for Elizabeth Warren because of her sudden misogyny allegations against Bernie Sanders. But that is not all the reason. The Democrats do not want to go for an extremist platform which includes Bernie Sanders' platform as well, because of the perception that Bernie's tax rate hike, not only will not get the government more money, rather it is thought that it will wreck the US economy. Also Bernie Sanders is not viewed like a European Socialist in the US, despite advocating 'Democratic Socialism;' the reason is Bernie's enthusiastic support for Fidel Castro and other left wing candidates throughout Latin American in the past. In short, Democrats want someone "moderate" like Obama for the next White House. Whether that will happen or not is another question. I just hope if Democrats win, they do not follow a Chamberlain-type appeasement approach towards IslamicKKK, whether Shi'a or Sunni which will be a disaster. But as far as US Politics in general is concerned, what we have been witnessing since the election of President Donald Trump is that American people are tired of Establishment including the two major parties that are the inheritance of secular democracy of the last 250 years in the U.S. and actually President Trump in 2016 won because of being viewed as someone anti-Establishment and not because of being a Republican, even though the Republican Party finally supported him all the way to victory and afterwards during impeachment challenges, nonetheless, even today President Trump's support among the people in the U.S. is because of his anti-Establishment charisma which shows itself in constant fight with career officials and even his defiance of the Establishment in his twitter account has been a part of this charisma for Trump from day one. But we need to remember that attempts to create a Third Party have failed many times in recent history of the U.S. and I am not hopeful about formation of a Futurist Party in the near future in the United States either. Thus the future of politics in the U.S. is not clear at this time.

Hoping for a democratic and secular futurist republic in Iran,
