Human civilization developed around 2000 years ago and that is when major religions and philosophies developed as human reflection of its new reality and such intellectual endeavors continued into the 19th century when various ideologies became as popular as major religions. Around 300 years ago, Western civilization started developing Secularism and Representative Democracy as an alternative to a state based on religion, a development that continued into the end of 20th and early 21st Century in Eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa. In the last 50 years with the advancements of computer revolution, we have witnessed the development of intelligent tools ushering in a new civilization which this author described in 1985 in a paper entitled 'Intelligent Tools: The Cornerstone of a New Civilization'. What was envisioned in the that paper was the impact of artificially producing tool-like capabilities of humans. But Ray Kurzweil envisioned not just artificially developing the capabilities of humans as a tool, rather the whole human itself in his Age of Spiritual Machines, and his thoughts were later expanded in his law of accelerated returns and his Singularity Theory. I used Ray Kurzweil's Singularity Theory when writing my book entitled 'New Variant to Meet Human Needs'. The main challenge of the future is about the *New Variant* and it is unfortunate that not only some societies such as Iran have to deal with the rule of IslamicKKK that wants to turn back history in Iran, Middle East and the whole world to 1400 years ago, but worse is to think that to deal with this retrogressive phenomena, we can rely on intellectual tools of 300 years. Such an approach is a recipe for failure and we need new political parties that respond to the new reality which is totally different from the time of Industrial Society.

Hoping for a democratic and secular futurist republic in Iran,
