US Policy with Iran is not Succeeding again
چرا سیاست آمریکا در رابطه با ایران دوباره ناموفق است
In less then a month, Iran's presidential election will take place. How the US approaches Iranians and Iran at this time, sends a clear message about the Trump administration, to both Iranian people and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Unfortunately the most vivid event that has happened at this criticial time, was the trip of John McCain to Albany to visit a cult group called mojahedine khalgh (PMOI) which is nothing but an Iranian Shi'a version of Daesh (1).
True that Senator McCain was not Donald Trump's ally during the US presidential election, or now, but US government's Voice of America Persian Service with Setareh Derakhshesh as its director (2) is still continuing Obama's failed policy of dividing its programs between Islamic Republic's reformist lobbyists on one hand, and mojahedin khalgh cult, on the other. Imagine if US had a TV broadcast for Syria and all it showed, were programs supporting Bashar Assad and Daesh!
What Iranian people want as a future regime, is not that complicated, we want a system very similar to the US government (3), but, unfortunately, US foreign policy decision makers support anything but that. Then, what can one expect of the way Iranian people feel about the new administration?
Hoping for a democratic and secular futurist republic in Iran,
